Lead Data Analyst

We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst to collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Analytics, and Product Teams. The person in this role will translate metrics requirements into actionable analytics, develop dashboards and self-service tools, and empower teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. This position also involves leading and growing a diverse team of analysts, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture, and championing data-driven product development across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Analytics, and Product Teams to understand and translate metrics requirements into actionable analytics needs.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and self-service tools that facilitate data-informed decision-making.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a diverse team of analysts to deliver high-quality, actionable insights.
  • Advocate for experimentation, measurement, and insight-led product development within the Product Group.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to inform product strategy and roadmap decisions, identifying opportunities to optimise audience experience, engagement, and impact.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and promote the value of data across teams, enhancing data analysis capabilities and self-service functionality organisation-wide.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance by aligning metric definitions, maintaining KPI glossaries, and validating tracking accuracy using tools such as Piano and browser network analyses.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings through clear and visual storytelling, translating technical insights into accessible narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to support continuity, transparency, and future development of front-end analytics capabilities.
  • Operate within agile delivery frameworks, including two-week delivery cycles, continuous refinement, and iterative development of analytics solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience leading and managing a team of data analysts, with a proven record of developing individuals and teams to achieve their full potential.
  • At least four years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within digital products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments to deliver insights that influence business direction.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical information for non-technical audiences at all organisational levels.
  • Strategic thinking ability and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate analytical deliverables.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple disciplines, managing expectations and navigating competing priorities.
  • Exceptional logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
