Job Overview

Expert Java Developer (Flowable) - hybrid from Cracow. The person in this role will join a team responsible for delivering and maintaining high-performance, real-time streaming and time-series data platforms. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with Java and Flowable within microservices architectures, and the ability to collaborate with multiple technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable global solutions.

Note: This is a hybrid model arrangement with at least 3 days weekly in the office in Cracow.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for tasks transferred from another vendor, ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer.
  • Design, develop, and implement new functionalities using Java, Flowable, Spring Boot and related technologies.
  • Maintain and support existing applications, diagnosing and resolving production issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions for microservices and data streaming solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, and operations, to deliver robust solutions.
  • Apply AI-assisted software development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (more than 15 years) in Java development, with demonstrable expertise in Flowable and Spring Boot, ideally in a banking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ORM frameworks such as JPA and iBatis.
  • Experience with security technologies including Azure AD and OAuth.
  • Practical experience with Kafka and data streaming architectures; expertise in high-throughput, real-time systems is required.
  • Familiarity with databases and caches including CosmosDB, PostgreSQL and Redis.
  • Proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs and working within Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Build and dependency management experience with Maven and Gradle.
  • Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals and modern software development lifecycle practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and to work effectively across distributed teams.
  • Experience applying AI-assisted development tools in the software development process.
