Senior Network Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead a comprehensive network assessment, design and end-to-end migration across a multi-site enterprise environment. The person in this role will analyze the current infrastructure, produce clear documentation and concepts, design network solutions, and drive migration activities including testing and coordination with up to four service providers. This role also supports the transition into operations and delivers final reports, advisory input and handover materials.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess the existing network and infrastructure environment to identify risks, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create detailed documentation, architecture concepts and network designs that support large-scale and multi-site deployments.
  • Plan and drive network migration end-to-end, including test strategy, execution and validation of connected systems such as EDR and CDR.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple service providers (up to four) to ensure aligned delivery, timelines and responsibilities.
  • Manage change, quality and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide advisory input and expert recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare final documentation, reports and knowledge transfer materials for successful transition into operations and service handover.
  • Participate in and often self-organize meetings and workshops to progress delivery and resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in network technologies with a strong security focus and hands-on experience in enterprise network operations.
  • Experience driving large-scale projects, complex migrations and coordinating multiple providers across multi-site environments.
  • Strong architecture methodology and practical application of risk, quality and change management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and document network solutions, and to produce clear, actionable operational handover materials.
  • Experience integrating and testing connected security systems such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Relevant certifications or equivalent professional experience in networking, security or systems architecture are desirable.
