We are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer (Node.js, React) based in Kraków. The person in this role will join a technical team responsible for maintaining and enhancing enterprise applications, taking over tasks from an existing vendor, and contributing to the design and delivery of new functionality. This office-based position requires a minimum of three days per week on-site in Kraków.
Responsibilities
- Take over and assimilate development and maintenance tasks previously managed by an external vendor.
- Design, implement and maintain front-end features using React and TypeScript to deliver robust user experiences.
- Develop and maintain back-end services using Node.js, ensuring scalable and reliable APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to translate business requirements into global, production-ready solutions.
- Contribute to the full software development life cycle (SDLC) activities including requirements clarification, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Use automated testing frameworks such as Cypress to verify functionality and prevent regressions.
- Apply AI-assisted development techniques where appropriate to increase efficiency and code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge transfer sessions and technical assessments to improve codebase quality and team capability.
- Support incident resolution and application maintenance, including root-cause analysis and remediation.
Qualifications
- 10+ extensive professional experience working with React, Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
- Proven experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress or comparable frameworks.
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and modern software development practices, including SDLC, CI/CD and automated testing.
- Demonstrable ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and to collaborate effectively with other technology teams.
- Practical experience applying AI-assisted development tools and methodologies within a software engineering context.
- Fluent English.
- A track record of taking ownership of legacy codebases, performing migrations or handovers from external vendors, and improving maintainability.
- Willingness and ability to work from the Kraków office a minimum of three days per week.
