Salesforce Experience Cloud Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Salesforce Experience Cloud Developer to design, build and support secure, scalable digital portals and self-service journeys. The person in this role will create intuitive Experience Cloud sites, Lightning Web Components and integrations that connect portal users with core Salesforce CRM and wider enterprise systems. Working within an agile team, they will help deliver onboarding, case capture and servicing journeys that improve usability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Salesforce Experience Cloud sites, portals and authenticated self-service experiences.
  • Configure Experience Builder elements including templates, themes, navigation, audiences, permissions and page layouts.
  • Build Lightning Web Components, Apex services, Salesforce Flows and reusable UI components aligned to UX and accessibility expectations.
  • Integrate portal experiences with Salesforce CRM data, REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise services; support integration troubleshooting.
  • Apply and maintain secure access patterns using profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, roles and external user models.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Architects to translate requirements into usable customer journeys.
  • Contribute to peer code reviews, unit testing, defect remediation, deployment readiness and post-deployment support.
  • Support DevOps practices including Git workflows, feature branches, pull requests and Salesforce deployment tools for CI/CD and environment progression.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering Experience Cloud portals, customer onboarding or authenticated web experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities: Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, validation rules and core configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with Experience Builder: templates, themes, navigation, audiences and security configuration.
  • Front-end development skills in Lightning Web Components, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create responsive, reusable components.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON and integration patterns; ability to work with integration and architecture teams.
  • Understanding of security models for portals, including external user access, permission sets and sharing rules.
  • Working knowledge of Git, branching strategies, code reviews and Salesforce deployment tools.
  • Experience in financial services or enterprise customer-facing platforms is advantageous but not required.
  • Preferred certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Administrator.
