Job Overview
Senior Odoo Developer — an experienced technical professional responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Odoo Enterprise solutions for production environments. The person in this role will lead architectural decisions, drive technical standards, supervise integrations and ensure secure, high-quality deployments. This position requires strong Python and Odoo expertise, experience with PostgreSQL, and the ability to mentor and coordinate a development team.
Responsibilities
- Design modular system architecture, data models and business logic in accordance with SOLID principles and Odoo best practices.
- Develop, deploy and maintain Odoo Enterprise modules and customizations for production environments.
- Lead technical aspects of projects, including architectural decision-making, task planning, conducting code reviews and defining development standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the development team, promoting consistent coding practices and effective development workflows.
- Implement and maintain integrations between Odoo and external systems, including identity and key management services.
- Ensure the security of data in transit and at rest; advise on and implement encryption strategies for transmission, storage and selected fields (field level encryption); manage backup strategies.
- Work with PostgreSQL for data modelling, performance tuning and reliable data operations.
- Contribute to frontend customizations within the Odoo stack and implement reporting solutions using Odoo reporting mechanisms.
Qualifications
- Very good knowledge of Python and the Odoo Enterprise framework, demonstrated by experience in delivering and maintaining production Odoo deployments.
- Proven ability to design modular architecture, data models and business logic consistent with SOLID principles and Odoo best practices.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL, including data modelling, performance optimisation and routine administration tasks.
- Knowledge of data protection techniques, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, field-level encryption and backup strategies.
- Experience integrating Odoo with external systems such as Keycloak, external Key Management Systems and custodial services (e.g., Fireblocks) or similar solutions.
- Familiarity with the Odoo frontend layer and reporting mechanisms.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead technical projects: making architectural decisions, planning work, performing code reviews, defining standards and mentoring developers.
- English language proficiency at a minimum of B2.
