We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join a modular Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) project focused on provisioning Azure integration components.
The person in this role will be responsible for designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, developing and maintaining shared Terraform modules, and implementing automation and operational standards to support integration services including Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault and Storage. Networking is managed by the client; Application Gateway is not part of the scope.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines (YAML) for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Integrate Terraform workflow into Azure DevOps with plan/apply steps, approvals and environment gates.
- Develop, test and maintain reusable Terraform modules for APIM, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage and monitoring resources.
- Manage remote Terraform state, workspaces and environment separation (dev/test/prod) with appropriate locking and recovery procedures.
- Create and maintain automation scripts in Bash and PowerShell to bootstrap environments, orchestrate Terraform workflows and support operational tasks.
- Support deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of integration function apps and related Azure services.
- Define and enforce secure configuration patterns: Key Vault usage, RBAC, private endpoints where applicable and other platform security controls.
- Standardize observability across integration components: logging, metrics, alerts and integration with Log Analytics/monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to onboard new services into shared modules and pipelines, and provide guidance on best practices for IaC and CI/CD.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines) and building YAML pipelines for CI/CD.
- Strong experience with Terraform on Azure, including module development, remote state management (AzureRM) and environment separation.
- Practical scripting skills in Bash and PowerShell for automation and operational tasks.
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure integration services: API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault and Storage.
- Familiarity with Azure monitoring and Log Analytics for observability, including setting up metrics, logs and alerts.
- Understanding of platform governance, secure configuration and RBAC concepts in Azure.
- Experience working in modular IaC projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to standardize infrastructure patterns.
Benefits
- Engagement in a focused modular IaC project with clear scope on Azure integration components.
- Opportunity to shape shared Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines used across environments.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams and influence on platform security and observability standards.
- Professional development through hands-on implementation of automation, governance and operational practices.
