Job Overview
We are seeking a Fullstack Developer with expertise in PHP (Sylius) and TypeScript to contribute to the design, development and maintenance of e-commerce solutions. The person in this role will work across backend and frontend domains, collaborate with product and operations colleagues, and support the delivery of reliable, secure and maintainable software.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain backend services using PHP and the Sylius e-commerce framework.
- Develop and maintain frontend components using TypeScript and related frameworks or libraries.
- Integrate internal and third-party APIs and ensure data consistency across systems.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews and apply software engineering best practices to improve code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and operations to translate requirements into technical solutions and to resolve production issues.
- Contribute to deployment pipelines, monitoring and performance optimisation activities.
- Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing with PHP and familiarity with the Sylius framework or closely related e-commerce platforms.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and experience building client-side applications or components.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, data modelling and relational databases.
- Experience with Azure.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with automated testing practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery concepts.
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders.
- Desirable: experience with Symfony, containerisation (e.g., Docker), message queues and knowledge of e-commerce domain challenges.
