We are seeking an experienced SAP Consultant with German proficiency to join a regulated SAP environment. The person in this role will focus on SAP release management and transport control, ensuring coordinated planning, execution and governance of releases across multiple systems in accordance with established standards and processes. The role also contributes to system stability during release cycles, aligns business and IT stakeholders, and maintains transparent, audit‑proof release documentation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate SAP releases across multiple systems, defining release schedules and timelines.
- Advise and support release execution, including scope alignment, release approvals and go‑live preparation.
- Coordinate and control transport processes (TMS / ChaRM) throughout development and deployment phases.
- Monitor release implementation and track development progress across systems.
- Support hypercare and stabilization phases following releases.
- Ensure governance compliance throughout the release lifecycle, including adherence to approval workflows and documentation standards.
- Create and maintain audit‑proof, traceable release documentation.
- Coordinate test management activities, align test windows and confirm release readiness.
- Evaluate test results and defect status as input for release decisions.
- Use SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM) for change, transport and release documentation management.
- Execute release risk analyses and define mitigation measures.
- Facilitate coordination between stakeholders, ensuring structured decision‑making and escalation processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience with SAP transport system (TMS) and SAP Solution Manager ChaRM.
- Operational experience in production SAP environments, including stabilization after releases.
- Proven experience in planning, coordinating and executing SAP releases across multiple systems, including release calendars and go‑live decisions.
- Experience with governance, controlled release processes and audit‑proof documentation in regulated SAP landscapes.
- Experience in test management within SAP context, including test planning, defect evaluation and using test results for release decisions.
- German language proficiency at C1 level.
