The Workplace Architect is responsible for analyzing, designing and delivering modern workplace solutions across complex, multi-site environments. The person in this role will assess existing client workplaces, produce target architecture and documentation, and lead end-to-end design and migration activities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess the current workplace environment and client requirements to define the target workplace architecture.
- Create comprehensive documentation and architectural concepts for M365/Teams, Intune/Autopilot, Windows client, virtualization/VDI, collaboration and endpoint security.
- Drive design and migration activities end-to-end, including planning, testing, validation and cutover coordination.
- Coordinate across multiple service providers and trades, ensuring alignment of schedules, deliverables and responsibilities.
- Manage risks, quality, change and stakeholder expectations throughout project phases.
- Provide advisory input on standards, roadmaps and lifecycle topics relevant to workplace and client platform management.
- Deliver final documentation, reports and handover materials to operations and support teams.
- Participate in and contribute to meetings and workshops in a self-organized manner.
- Support the transition into operations and provide advisory support until successful service handover.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in modern workplace and client IT, including endpoint and collaboration security.
- Demonstrable experience with M365/Teams, Intune/Autopilot, Windows client management and virtualization/VDI technologies.
- Experience leading large-scale migration projects, multi-provider management and delivery across multi-site environments.
- Solid architecture methodology and experience applying risk, quality, change and stakeholder management practices.
- Track record of delivering documentation, test plans, reports and successful handovers to enterprise operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Capacity to work independently, organize tasks and manage multiple concurrent activities to meet deadlines.
- Relevant professional certifications or equivalent demonstrable experience are desirable.
