Job Overview
We are seeking a SAP MM / Retail & Master Data Senior Consultant to lead the design and implementation of retail master data solutions within complex, multi-country environments. The person in this role will provide functional leadership on SAP Retail transformations, ensuring robust master data governance, high-quality data standards and effective integration with adjacent SAP modules. This role requires deep functional expertise in SAP Retail master data domains and proven experience delivering retail transformation, implementation and rollout projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration and delivery of SAP Retail Master Data Management solutions, including support for rollout activities across countries.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Retail Master Data, offering functional leadership and clear solution guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable SAP Retail solution designs and drive necessary customizing and configuration.
- Define and implement master data governance models, data quality standards and operating procedures to support sustained data integrity.
- Support end-to-end retail business processes across merchandising, procurement, inventory management, supply chain and store operations.
- Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, data migration strategies and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, support testing cycles, manage defect resolution and contribute to cutover and go-live activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering SAP Retail transformation, implementation and rollout projects with a strong focus on Retail Master Data Management.
- Deep functional and customizing expertise in SAP Retail, including:
- Article Master and Article Hierarchies
- Merchandise Categories
- Assortment Management and Listing Procedures
- Site Master Data
- Business Partner Master Data
- Purchasing Data
- Strong understanding of retail business processes across merchandising, procurement, inventory management, supply chain and store operations.
- Experience working in global, multi-country retail environments and managing cross-cultural stakeholder expectations.
- Solid knowledge of integration points with SAP MM, SAP SD and SAP CAR.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Relevant professional qualifications or degree in a related field and demonstrable project experience are expected.
