Senior C++ Developer with German

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior C++ Developer with German skills to join a cross-functional team focused on delivering secure, stable desktop software. The person in this role will develop and maintain C++ components with an emphasis on IT security and reliability, analyze and remediate security issues in existing code, and collaborate with Architecture, QA and Product Management to produce high-quality solutions. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain C++ components for a desktop application, prioritising IT security and system stability.
  • Analyze existing code against defined security requirements, design and implement fixes for security vulnerabilities, and improve the overall security posture of the product.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, QA and Product Management to deliver maintainable and testable solutions.
  • Use AI-assisted coding agents (for example, Claude Code) in daily workflows to accelerate code analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation.
  • Contribute to the team’s shared AI agents, skills and prompt templates to increase collective effectiveness.
  • Apply rigorous debugging, profiling and multithreading techniques to ensure high performance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Several years of senior-level experience in C++ development, preferably in high-performance, heavily parallelised desktop systems.
  • Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++14/17/20), multithreading, debugging and IT security best practices.
  • Practical experience with CMake, Conan and MSVC.
  • Structured and analytical working style with high quality standards.
  • Fluent English required; good German language skills are an advantage.
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) including building agents, skills and workflows; familiarity with AI pipelines, harnesses and context engineering.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of IT security frameworks (for example, BSI Grundschutz) and background in regulated or healthcare software.
  • Nice to have: a degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or a comparable technical field. Equivalent relevant professional experience will be considered.
