We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full-Stack Engineer to own and evolve the server-side architecture and related front-end components of a product that converts Figma designs into QML for Qt Desktop and Qt for MCUs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and extend backend services implemented in NestJS (Fastify), using Prisma with PostgreSQL, Redis and S3 for storage.
- Design, run and improve the WebRTC signaling server and data-channel logic (Socket.IO, chunked file transfer, backpressure management, connection handling).
- Own the AWS infrastructure as code, maintaining CDK stacks for ECS Fargate services behind ALBs, ElastiCache, RDS, S3, and Amplify static hosting.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) including validation workflows, staging auto-deploys, manual production deploys with OIDC role assumption, and release automation.
- Ensure production-grade operation of services: health checks, rate limiting, security headers, monitoring (Sentry), and distributed coordination patterns such as Redis-based locks for scheduled jobs.
- Drive test automation: unit and end-to-end tests for backend services, Playwright or equivalent integration tests for the viewer, and maintain a fast and reliable CI suite.
- Collaborate with product and cross-functional engineers on features that span the Figma plugin, viewer, and backend, ensuring design data never passes through company servers where applicable.
Qualifications
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js backend experience; proven experience with NestJS and Fastify is preferred.
- Solid AWS experience and familiarity with infrastructure as code; prior work with CDK in TypeScript is highly desirable.
- Practical experience operating ECS Fargate services, ALBs, RDS, ElastiCache, and S3.
- CI/CD ownership with GitHub Actions or comparable tools: multi-environment deploy pipelines, OIDC-based role assumption to cloud providers, and release workflows.
- Operational mindset: design and implement health checks, rate limits, security headers, observability and incident mitigation measures as integral parts of features.
- Habit of writing tests alongside features and maintaining a fast, trustworthy CI environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across frontend and backend boundaries when features require coordinated changes.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Playwright or similar browser-level integration testing, and with stabilising flaky CI suites.
- Familiarity with C++ and Qt/QML, including build pipelines using Emscripten and CMake for compiling a Qt engine to WebAssembly.
- Experience designing OAuth2 and JWT-based session systems, including refresh token rotation and reuse detection.
Benefits
- Opportunity to own and shape a critical part of the product stack, spanning infrastructure, backend services and the viewer/plugin integration.
- Remote work opportunity.
- Opportunities for professional development and technical training related to Guidewire and integration technologies.
- Unique TEAL culture, relationship- and respect-driven community, non-corporate atmosphere.
- Agile approach and no bureaucracy.
- Outstanding integration trips to various places in Europe.
- Activities to support your well-being and health.
- Luxmed Gold Extended medical care and Multisport Plus benefit.
