Mulesoft Developer

The organisation is seeking an experienced Mulesoft Developer to design, build, test and support enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The person in this role will deliver reusable APIs and integration flows that connect Salesforce and other enterprise systems securely and reliably, in accordance with API-led architecture and governance standards. The role requires practical implementation experience across API development, integration patterns, testing and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop System, Process and Experience APIs following API-led connectivity principles.
  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce, enterprise platforms, data services and-driven systems.
  • Develop DataWeave transformations, orchestration flows and reusable Mule components to support maintainable integration solutions.
  • Create and maintain RAML specifications, comprehensive API documentation and Exchange assets for consumer teams.
  • Implement standard logging, error handling, exception management, retry and monitoring patterns.
  • Apply API security controls and policies, manage secrets securely and adopt secure integration practices.
  • Create MUnit tests, support end-to-end testing and validate both happy-path and error scenarios.
  • Support CI/CD deployment activities, environment promotion, production troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of integration development experience, with 2+ years working with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Practical experience with MuleSoft components including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Exchange and Runtime/Cloud deployment concepts.
  • Understanding of API design including REST, SOAP, RAML, JSON and XML, and API-led architecture layering.
  • Proficiency in DataWeave for data transformation, mapping, filtering, enrichment and validation.
  • Knowledge of API security concepts such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, policies and secure properties management.
  • Testing experience with MUnit, Postman and integration testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices including Git branching, pull requests and CI/CD pipeline workflows.
  • Experience with enterprise integration and API governance; exposure to Salesforce integration is strongly advantageous.
  • Experience in banking, financial services or other high-control enterprise environments is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Kafka or event-driven integration patterns is beneficial.
  • Fluent English
  • Preferred certifications: MuleSoft Developer I; MuleSoft Developer II, MuleSoft Associate or MuleSoft Platform Architect I are desirable.
