Job Overview
The organisation seeks an experienced Information Architect (Finance) to define and develop the information architecture for finance-related data and reporting. The person in this role will support the design of consistent business concepts, information models, and data structures for management cockpit and KPI use cases. Collaboration with business and data teams is essential to align finance information needs with modern data platform capabilities and to enable reusable, governed data assets within a common data platform. Given the global scope of the client, engagement with stakeholders across global functions is required.
Responsibilities
- Define and document information architecture for finance data, including conceptual and logical models that support management reporting and KPI frameworks.
- Design and maintain business glossaries, common definitions, and metadata to ensure consistent interpretation of finance metrics across functions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance subject-matter experts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into reusable and governed data assets.
- Support the development of data products and data structures optimized for a common data platform, promoting reuse and governance.
- Contribute to information governance activities, including data cataloguing, lineage documentation, and stewardship processes.
- Advise on alignment of finance information needs with modern cloud data platforms and tooling, including considerations for AI-ready data foundations.
- Facilitate workshops and reviews to validate models, definitions, and delivery approaches with global stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Information Architect, Data Architect, or in a similar role within business-driven data initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience with finance data, management reporting, KPI frameworks, or enterprise performance management topics.
- Familiarity with modern cloud data environments, particularly Azure, dbt, and Snowflake; deep hands-on technical implementation is not required but an understanding of capabilities is expected.
- Experience in information modelling, business glossary development, conceptual and logical data modelling, and data governance practices.
- Ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders, communicating complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience with data products and reusable data assets within an enterprise data platform context is an advantage.
- Fluent communication skills in English; proficiency in Polish is considered beneficial.
