Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced APEX Developer to join our team. The person in this role will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing Oracle APEX applications, ensuring code quality and performance. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ hands-on experience in APEX implementations and a technology-specific certificate aligned with Oracle APEX certification paths or an equivalent document.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications according to project requirements and best practices.
- Perform code reviews and implement improvements to ensure maintainability, security and performance.
- Identify and resolve performance issues through query optimization, PL/SQL tuning and APEX configuration adjustments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for application components, deployment procedures and operational support.
- Participate in testing activities, including unit, integration and performance testing, and support bug resolution.
- Provide guidance on APEX development standards and mentor less experienced team members as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Oracle APEX application implementations.
- Proven understanding of APEX architecture, development patterns and optimization techniques.
- Certification: at least one technology-specific certificate aligned with Oracle APEX certification paths or an equivalent document.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, including experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Familiarity with web technologies relevant to APEX (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and integration patterns with Oracle databases.
- Experience working with version control systems and deployment processes for database-backed applications.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
