Analyst/Developer (Java)

Job Overview

Join a collaborative IT team as an Analyst/Developer (Java) working in a hybrid model (four days remote, one day in the office). In this role you will combine analytical skills and hands-on development to deliver high-quality solutions, help shape requirements, and verify system behavior through testing and data validation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and technical requirements, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and propose practical improvements.
  • Collaborate with project team members — analysts, developers and business representatives — to ensure clear requirements and high-quality deliveries.
  • Document requirements and process models (using BPMN, UML, user story mapping as appropriate).
  • Develop and maintain Java/Kotlin components using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and related frameworks.
  • Perform integration and regression testing and use SQL to verify data and system correctness.
  • Work with version control and build tools such as Git and Maven.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in an IT analyst role within a development team, including process modeling (UML, user story mapping).
  • Proven ability to document requirements (e.g., BPMN) and decompose stakeholder needs into change specifications for information systems.
  • Practical knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Strong experience with Angular (5+ years).
  • Strong experience with Java or Kotlin (5+ years).
  • Experience with Spring/Hibernate, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud (2+ years).
  • Familiarity with Git and Maven.
  • Good communication skills for working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • English at B1/B2 level for reading documentation and supplier communication.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and test automation.
  • Understanding of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Experience with messaging systems and search technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch).
  • Skills in application scaling and performance diagnostics tools.
