We are seeking a Software Tester - the person in this role will perform independent manual testing of software systems, validate RESTful APIs, and contribute to performance and integration testing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute and document manual test cases for functional, integration and regression testing.
- Validate REST API endpoints using tools such as Postman; verify XML/JSON payloads and response schemas.
- Perform performance and load testing using JMeter and analyse results to identify bottlenecks.
- Execute SOAP-based testing where required and inspect XML messages for correctness.
- Report, prioritise and track defects through the lifecycle; collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to test planning, test data preparation and continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Communicate test results and risks clearly in English to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manual testing of web or backend systems.
- Practical knowledge of testing REST APIs and familiarity with tools such as Postman.
- Experience with performance testing using JMeter or comparable tools.
- Experience testing SOAP services and working with XML payloads.
- Understanding of test case design, defect lifecycle and test documentation.
- English language proficiency at C1 level.
