Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled SAP BW Developer to join a Business Intelligence team focused on data warehousing and analytics. The person in this role will design, develop and maintain BW and BW/4HANA solutions that support reporting, data integration and performance optimisation across the organisation. This role requires strong technical expertise in BW, an analytical mindset and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain SAP BW and BW/4HANA data models, InfoProviders, CompositeProviders and queries.
- Implement and optimise ETL processes using transformation rules, data flows and ABAP when required.
- Integrate data from SAP and non-SAP sources, ensuring data quality, consistency and traceability.
- Develop and tune performance of queries, aggregations and data loading processes to meet SLAs.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into technical specifications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, and participate in change and release management activities.
- Document solutions, data flows and operational procedures to enable maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- Contribute to architecture reviews and advise on best practices for BW/BW4HANA implementations and migrations.
Qualifications
- Min. 5 years of experience in SAP BW and BW/4HANA development, including data modelling and query design.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and Business Intelligence processes.
- Experience with ETL design and implementation; familiarity with SAP Data Services or equivalent tools is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of ABAP for transformations and enhancements is desirable.
- Ability to analyse complex data requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Good communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent practical experience in IT, computer science or a related discipline.
